Jewish residents of the Seacoast region who would like to learn more about Temple Israel of Portsmouth are warmly invited to an open house on Sept. 15. The open house, like Temple Israel itself, welcomes members and families of all types and from all backgrounds.

The open house will include information about the synagogue’s new voluntary dues model, under which members are free to pledge any amount that is meaningful to them. Attendees will also hear from Rabba Kaya Stern-Kaufman; meet current Temple Israel members and others new to the community; enjoy food and wine; tour the historic sanctuary and educational and social spaces; and learn about temple programs, activities, and religious services.
